Essentials:
a copy of the syllabus
This contains a list of vocabulary and the grammar you need to know as well as the set texts and information on how the exam is graded etc. FOC.
The Mothers' Companion Flashdrive
This costs £20. It contains the textbook (in print-your-own format) we will be using for grammar learning as well as audio to help you pronounce Latin words. It also has the Greek and Roman legends we will be reading for background. In addition the flashdrive contains a complete print-your-own curriculum for up to age 12 with hundreds of pages of maths, English, history and on and on... so if you have any younger brothers and sisters it could be very useful!
As preparation for the second year you will need to read a re telling of the story of Troy. the best one, in my opinion, is Roger Lancelyn Green's The Tale of Troy. It does not have to be a brand new copy; a tatty old second hand one will do so long as all the words are there! If you do not want to buy a copy, try requesting it from your local library.
Also useful but not essential:
Adams'/Deacon's/Hull's Synchronological Chart
Usually seems to cost about £30. A huge wall chart that is full of fascinating detail. You will use it over and over for many subjects not just Latin. A much cheaper unbound version is available from Answers in Genesis.
Everything else you need is - or will be DV- right here!
